Yu Kurosaki is one of the youngest talented blacksmith in Japan, well known for his unique and stylish design with his blade. Located in Echizen which is the historical area in Fukui prefecture, as one of Japanese important knife capital. His passion to craft new design is always welcome and excited to try new addition. Not only design but its sharpness of blade attracts us whenever we use his knife.

The characteristic of Super Gold 2 (SG2) is a high-end powdered tool steel alloy designed for blade making. It's also one of the most popular high-end powder steel, capable of being treated to a hardness of 64 HRC.

Mr Kurosaki is also famous for his Tsuchime design, as seen in his Shizuku series, they are not only aesthetically magnificent but also extreamly sharp and functional for professional or even for enthusiasts collectors.

WHAT’S SHIZUKU?

Shizuku literally means "water drop" in Japanese. The Tsuchime hammered pattern and water drop motif give an artistic atmosphere to his exquisite knife and is functional as well. The Shizuku line we carry are all made using R2/SG2 steel which takes an exceptional edge and keeps it for a long time. The stainless cladding resists corrosion and makes maintenance simple.
